My chicks are three and a half months old. My gold sex links seem to be growing great, but three of my buff Orpingtons have pale comes and feel so much smaller than the sex links. One BO has a nice pink comb right now. They are having a juvenile molt, so I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it. I did see one of the BO walking around in circles on and off for about five minutes. Which I thought was odd. Should I be worried? My sex links are vaccinated and from the local feed. The BO are not and from a local breeder. I feed them scratch and peck, give them grit, dried mealworms, alfalfa and they get to roam the yard and eat everything.

Could you post a picture? Also, are they the same age? my hunch is that the BO are slower developing.
Yes, they are only two days apart. Here are some picture comparisons.

My flock of buff orpington's are about 2 1/2 months old and look just like yours. It is my understanding that as a heritage breed they are slower to maturity than other breeds. I don't think there is anything at all wrong with yours. Good luck!

Thank you! The walking in circles just threw me off. I saw her do it again just a few minutes ago.
