Bob chick having trouble hatching

My bob batch is finally hatching, ever so slowly. One egg had pipped, partially zipped, and just stopped for 1.5 days. I messed with the shell a teeny bit and could tell it was still alive. When it finally hatched, it had a permanent crick in its neck. It walked in circles, it flipped on its back frequently, and the other chicks were harassing it non-stop. Ugh. Why did this happen?

I have about 10 more that pipped and then quit all activity. I have 3 that have zipped but not emerged. What's going on? My rh is 70+%, plenty of O2, temp right at 99-100.

Please, is there a trick to figuring this out?

Should I mess with any of the others? Or just let 'em be for a few more days?

Sounds like you have all the credentials in order here. But to be sure, you need to have 2 thermometers going at all times. Never trust the incubators gauge alone.

Generally zipped, but not hatched chicks stem from either insufficient moisture, improper ventilation or improper setting of the eggs causing the chicks to not place themselves correctly for hatching.

All you can do next time is use 2 gauges for your temp and humidity, make SURE you are drawing in plenty of oxygen and make sure the eggs are pointy side down. You also might try hatching them completely upright in egg cartons. I have never tried this, but some folks swear by it. It helps prevent drowning, if humidities are high in the outside air.

Ive had a similar thing happen with some Cot. eggs I bought on Ebay. I can't help but assume this is a genetic thing (if everything was correct with the bator). I ended up culling the bird day 2

. Another had cross beak from that clutch and another was a runt and curled toes..
