i bought eggs from bobbi Porto and they came today .. the po wasnt nice to them .. 4 cracked and 2 wasnt there .. outta 2 doz .. but after siting most the day to warm up and chill out i put them in the 30th will be day one . i also put in 3 of my frizzle eggs to check on them .. she just started giveing me eggs .. pluss i have my silkie eggs in .. altogether i have i belive 26 eggs went in .. let you all know in few days i hope how thier all doing

Hope yours do well. The post office I don't think was to good to mine as I only had 4 develop out of 36. Last year when I hatched shipped eggs from her I had a lot better development. Maybe she will bring me some more to the Lake City show in two weeks. I need to email her with some pictures anyway.

aww dont be sayin that .. i wrote her to let her know how my box came i also have pics .. just in case

i bought 2 doz .. and for me to recive them that way broke my heart .. i hope i have luck ... ive been reading from groups that thier boxes came that way also .. and had very lil luck .. i told her what my po lady said dont write on the box hatching eggs .. she thinks when i get a box that way thats the reason they see eggs and play foot ball with it .. uggggg

I have to say i've heard an awful lot of bad things about her eggs/shipping.

Bobbi is a good friend of mine and in her defense this is the first time I have had a problem. She has shipped me chicks and adults also. The post office can just be very rough on eggs. I had two broken in this past shipment and they were packaged very well. I have recieved eggs from numerous breeders and some shipments just don't make the trip well. Shipped eggs are a gamble and most people state when selling shipping eggs that they can't be responsible after they leave their hands.

I have several chickens from Bobbi, including two beautiful Silkie hens. I've hatched a few chicks from them, and they've been beautiful - no flaws, many strengths. She shipped eggs to me too, and none broke, and most developed. She charges reasonable prices for her eggs. My experience has only been good...another benefit is that she is extremely funny, smart, and all around great to deal with.

Hi,
I got 22 eggs off of Bobbi 3 were cracked "NOT BROKEN/NO MESS" and I just candled them.
9 are developing, I tossed the rest. If these 9 hatch I will be happy.
I only wanted a few new blood to add to my flock so I sure hope I get a couple real good ones.
KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED. I thought she did a good packing job.

Melanie, I can't wait to see your chicks when they hatch. I am meeting her in Lake City at that show and she is bringing me another black trio to replace the ones that accidentally got killed by the owl and a buff hen. I have got to downsize somewhere soon. I may keep less standards.
Hey was it you that told me to put my hens on wire when they went broody to break it up? I have found this works well. I just put five back in the pens after a week. They all layed today so graduated back to breed pens.

i think we all agree here no one blamed her .. i said po wasnt nice to mine .. i think sometimes like i told her when they see hatching eggs wrote on it .. they play ball with them .. but packing she did great .. just po wasnt nice ..
i didnt mean for this to go where it has .. IVE NEVER SAID SHE WAS A FAULT . kinda wish id never said anything but i was EXCITED that i got eggs from her . and i was setting them in the battor ..
