i have a pair [hopefully 1 male and 1 female] of bobwhites that i bought from a bird dealer at a swap meet. when i asked him about the age he said "young" but i figured why not and bought them anyway. he also said he would do his best to grab me a male and female, i'm pretty sure he did do that because their starting to look different. i want to know how old they are so i can know when to expect eggs approximately, i was wondering if anybody either had pictures of juvenile bobwhites with the age or if an experienced quail breeder would be able to approx. age mine if i threw up a picture.

it kind of looks like the bluish grey juvenile tail feathers are starting to come out and brown adult tails feathers are coming in

i'd say just about the same color as the feathers on the bak of the first guys head, maybe a little lighter. i'm just gonna wait and see how it turns out
