We have a boer goat doe who is 5 months old with a broken back leg. Took her to the vet today and they said that where the break was was bad, and that a cast may or may not work. They also said that they can't do surgery because goats don't do well with anesthesia, and it would be kind of hard to put back together. I feel so terrible for her, and if the cast doesn't work, then I don't know what to do.

I would put her down. It's an unfortunate part of keeping hooved animals, they do not do well with broken limbs. If the vet says it isn't a good idea then I wouldn't try to cast it.

We had 2 young goats break one of their front legs a few years back. I think they were around 3-4 months old and we casted them both made full recovery’s you couldn’t even tell they had been broken

I've been instructing myself on homeopathy lately. They have something that accelerates the healing of broken bones. It starts with comfrey (it has been nicknamed knit-bone apparently) and they dilute and shake it until no toxicity remains and the healing potential is enhanced.

I also found a little youtube about SYMPHYTUM OFFICINALE:

Very important rules about how to take and store homeopathics:

Hope this helps. Please respond to discuss dosage and further details.
