Boiled peanut time

This is what I've ben doing early this morning,out washing jumbo peanuts in the yard getting ready for boiling.They made pretty good this year with all the rain we have had.Last year was a complete loss with the drought.These jumbo's are huge!!

Hanging my head in embarrassment I ask..."what is a boiled peanut?"

Peanuts boiled in salt water until done.They are sold at most all sporting events and carnivals.We freeze them and have them all year round.Just take them out and reheat them and they taste just like fresh boiled.Most notherners like their peanuts roasted or as we say in the south parched.

Boiled peanuts are a southern thing, I tried a bag some years back and I must say, they were as unapatitizing as dirt. They were just not for me, didn't even taste like a peanut. Now I do know a bunch of people that will plow through mass crowds to get some and really like them, but they are still pretty gross.
