I'm relatively new to chicken raising as I started with 4 pullets in May.....Three of them are now laying with our Americauna yet to get started. It's really been lots of fun and the girls and I are on about the same learning curve. In addition to the Americauna I have a Black Star, a Ginger Spice, and an Astralorp. They are very entertaining and lots of fun. My husband and I are a bit apprehensive about our first winter with chickens in the North of Wisconsin, but we've been reading a lot and learning every day.
