Has anyone used a solid wood dresser or book shelf (turned sideways) to attach to the outside of their coop as nest boxes? I'm thinking that might be something I'd like to do, then cut holes in the coop wall leading into the compartments. I'd love to see pictures if anyone has done this! I'm just gathering ideas here....

On "My Page" I have pictures posted of my coop and run so far, but it's a work in progress...

K, thanks! I did do a ton of searching and couldn't find a picture of one that'd been attached to the outside. Due to my limited space that's important. If I did see one and just didn't realize that's what it was anyway. I'd love to see ideas, people are so creative around here!

Aha, thanks! Actually the 8th post on that link from catdaddy is very similar to what I had in mind to do with a bookshelf, except install sideways instead of tall, since silkies don't fly much. Very helpful, thanks!

I'd love to see any more pictures if anyone else has done something similar...
