Hurray--both my duckies are girls. They hatched out 4 1/2 weeks ago, and I thought I started hearing honking/wheezing sounds as early as 1 1/2 weeks, but I didn't dare make any conclusions until past 4 weeks. But I am DEFINITELY hearing deep, loud quacking now. They don't really do it when I pick them up, but they definitely do it when they're excited. Today, especially, I had them out and they hadn't really had any water in about 20 minutes (it was available, they just hadn't been anywhere near it) when I broke out the hose and started "watering" a part of the lawn. They came over, curious, and before long were loudly enjoying the sudden amenities. Definite quacking.
