Bought 2 Greenfire Deathlayers. Both are boys. Pros and cons of crossing them with Campine Hens

I got 2 chicks from greenfire and the both turned out to be gold death layer cockerels. They are too expensive to try again. I local breeder had Campines and will sell me young hens at a reasonable price. They are nice hens. What do people think would be the pros and cons.

You'd probably get birds with similar color patterns, but they would be crossbreeds, and therefore couldn't be sold as purebreds, which would lessen their monetary value quite a bit. The females would likely be good layers of smaller white eggs.

I've taken the cockerels to 2 local poultry meets at 2 different clubs in central Pa. No one will even spend 20 dollars, for a gold deathlayer straight from the importer at Greenfire hatchery. So I'm not worried about the value. No one in my area will pay for them anyway and I'm not certified to ship.

Then there is no reason not to cross them with the campines. You're sure to get attractive offspring and they will be good layers.
