So I bought a EE pullet at TSC last week, or so i thought... When it got home I saw it had no muff, not a big deal. Then after having it for a whole week i thought "wait, isn't this thing supposed to have green legs"? So my question is can EE's have leg colors other than green and if not what breed did I get?

Thanks in Advance for any help.

Technically, EE can have any comb, any leg color any feather color and pattern. That said, I think you have a Wheaton marans.

ETA: Typically hatchery EE have green legs, pea combs and sometimes have muffs. My hatchery EE from Meyer has the green legs, lays turquoise eggs and has a clean face.

I found my EE to be slow to develop. She has a very tiny single comb. EE’s seem to have a very distinctive feather pattern (which came early) around the neck (hackles) they all have it no matter their coloring. I think you’re going to have to wait a bit longer as she grows her feathers will reveal her mystery.

that's a pea comb, not a single comb.
