I still have my mother's Bower Model 1670-3 Incubator from the late 50s/early 60s. It still works.
We kept a bowl of water inside for moisture. We numbered the eggs on one side with a grease pencil. That way, if we had 23 duck eggs it was easy to manually turn them. Either they'd have all numbers up or numbers down for each turning.
We hatched goose, duck and some chicken eggs.
