Boyd needs a new hobby....

I've thought about Tilapia in a pond... The spring and fall will provide a guaranteed kill off so I don't have to worry about them getting loose, and keep some breeding stock inside in an aquarium 7 months out of the year... Hm....

About ten seconds of NPR would be all I could stand of that crap.

I read "bow/crossbow" as "COW/crossbow" and I thought, You can hunt cows with crossbows? Poor cows!

Then I went back and read it properly. I thought that was a weird thing for you to do, Boyd. It'd be the easiest hunting ever, though.

mom always used to say, when I was bored, "CLEAN YOUR ROOM"

that never worked for me, either, so I'll keep thinking.

I like the bowhunting, beekeeping, and aquaculture ideas. Tilapia can be raised in kiddie pools or stock tanks in the summer, need heat, so I've read.
Go ginseng hunting? Fall mushrooming? Scout out deer areas (I wouldn't have to go any farther than my garden). Some folks set up salt licks for deer, don't know how kosher that is in your area.

Build a tower and start your ham radio license.

Fix that electrical quirk in the house wiring that really has been annoying you.

Lubricate your vehicle's window mechanisms. That'll keep them from jamming in the winter, electric or manual.

Sharpen all your knives and tools.

...wait a minute, I'm starting just copying my to do list...

Plant a fall crop or just green manure plants to till into the soil.Plant some fruit and nut trees/shrubs. Cook some new foods. Personally I just like sitting and watching the world go by,which unfortunately includes some low gliding hawks.....that I am so itching' to relocate.

My boys have 1 week left of break and all the usual activities get the *boring* response. I put them to work collecting my teen chickens each day.Sadly they run when I start talking about cleaning the brooder and coop.
