I have two Australorp cockerel who are fighting for dominance over my 1 Australorp hen. They mate with the others but poor Hazel gets caught between them too often.
My question is does this look like the boys have pulled her feathers out or could it be something else? I don't see any mites or lice and it is only on her head. She is the only one like this.
On a side note, I am looking to re-home 1 of the boys.

Looks like feather damage from the males to me. Can you boot the males to a bachelor pad for now to give her some peace?

Thanks for confirming my thoughts.
Unfortunately, I don't have a place to boot them too. I'm going to take one to a swap this weekend and hopefully find him a home. I think he would be a good rooster if he didn't have to be second in charge.

I just took some wire sewed it together with fishing linewith netting on top so they couldn't get out and made one for each rooster, they learned to behave after getting put in middle of the flock with added shade if need be and some food and water for a day in chicken jail usually, if that didn't work and had to do it again they had one last chance before being rehomed

I thought it was just the one I'm getting rid off being a little rough because she rejects him for the other one. Then I saw him mount her and Hank tried to knock him off and he held on for dear life. So, he must go.
The competition can bring out the worst in cockerels. Removing one (or even both) should result in happier hens.

if it's any consolation I only have one rooster, but the alpha hen is trying to be a rooster, and nothing I do sees to make her stop trying to mount the other hens, so she may go to freezer camp as she's worse than a mean rooster

I know this has nothing to do with anything and I’m sorry but, I have a chicken named Hazel and I know 2 other people with chickens named Hazel and it’s so funny that you have a chicken named Hazel aswell! Although, Hazel is a pretty name! Good luck with your roo situation!
