Boys or girls? BCM and silver campine.

Hi all,

1 have 6x 3.5 week old chicks, 5x black copper maran and 1x silver campine. One BCM and the campine grew tails, the others haven't yet. Please tell me I don't have 4 roosters....

Unfortunetly, with a pure bred chicken you can't judge gender on how fast the tail comes in. This can only happen on some few mixes.
Pics would be helpful, however if your chicks are still really young we may not get anywhere with them. Its best to sex chicks at about 6-8 weeks.

pic is of 6 chicks (only 1 silver campine, the rest are BCM). They have coloured removable leg bands to tell them apart (the campine and one BCM ave bare legs)

Also purple leg band was hatched 3 days late and had lots of issues (since resolved), so it's a little smaller for that reason.

I'm hoping for at least 2-3 BCM pullets and really hoping the campine is a pullet.

Agree with @Frazzemrat1, they’ll need another 3 or 4 weeks before they can be accurately sexed.
