boys or girls??? that is the question....

Just bought 3 black runner ducks with greenish heads and sheen on their feathers...one doesn't have as much green on it but the other 2 look identical. I was told.it was 1 Drake and 2 hens.....but.....they all quack And all.3 have a curl in their tail feathers..kinda contradicts each other. The man I bought them from looked at their beaks.... does that help.sex them too? I am thinking I just got quacked....

Beaks don't have any part in sexing. You may have been quacked! If they all have the curl (It is the VERY noticeable curl, right above the tail), then they are all males. Also, males have a quiet raspy quack, and females have a LOUD full quack. Do you have any pics? It would be easier to give you a definate answer that way...

I will take pictures tomorrow and post them. I had a feeling before I bought them he was lying. I knew better. Oh well....

They sound like drakes if they have drake feathers. 1 of my drakes that I bought as a hen has a quack but a very deep sounding quack but not loud like the girls and not raspy like the boys
