When I got this chick I was told it was pure barred rock. It obviously isn't. I really don't care we love her. Any ideas what else she might be?

I've seen this before, just a breakthrough of brown feathering, prob still a barred rock, just has some weird genes. Cute! I'd love it, regardless, too.

Not a Barred Rock. Although likely a Barred Rock in it's mix.

Likely crossed with a gold bird. The answer would lie with the flock it came from. What was also in that flock? New Hampshire, Buff Orpington, that kind of thing.

Also, it is a bit early, but I am guessing 7 weeks old? I see what I think to be a pink comb and itty bitty wattles.

Close. 8 weeks and I'm pretending not to see that for now. Lol
And I'm not for sure what else was in the flock she came from. We had gotten two of them at the same time and the other one's comb was bright red and twice the size so I was hoping this one would be a hen(already got rid of the other one)

I agree with Fred (usually do!), that's a mixed breed cockerel. Call it a black sex link if you need to call it something. The other parent was probably a red, straight combed bird. So say a production red/barred rock mix. That's about as close as you're going to get.
