BR/Mutt Roo over EEs..........

They've got a 50/50 shot of laying colored eggs. I have 2 girls from a Silkie momma with an EE daddy...1 lays cream colored eggs and 1 lays green.

Thanks Kelly. Will there be some sign before hand what color they will lay. For instance, does the greenish leg coloring indicate a hen carrying the colored egg gene?

Some people say that green legs and a pea comb are a good indicator that they'll lay colored eggs, but both of my Silkie/EE girls have pea combs. They both have black legs from the Silkie side.

Okay, thanks. And I've already noticed that with the Barred. We have had one chick that would've been white, but it died just before hatch. Other than that, all barred from this guy.
