I purchased chicks through TSC spring 2017. They had no label, so it was a surprise guess on what breed they were, mainly got them because they were shuffled off by themselves and the rest of the tanks were full. Turns out, had 2 buff brahmas, a gold laced cochin and a white fluff ball that eventually turned out to be just a plain white bantam chicken. My cochin is also a bantam and lays the littlest eggs I have ever seen.....my question is: Brahma's are slow to develop and mature.....how to do I know if these are bantams or not? Should they be larger than what they are right now? I have australorps that I got at the end of summer, that are twice the size of my brahmas so I'm fairly certain that they are bantams, but wanted more seasoned opinions and advice on this. I can't find anything on the internet that tells the rate of growth or anything of that nature anywhere. I love my brahmas and I want more but I'm curious at this point to know if they are going to grow any bigger. Thanks!!
