I have found a trio of brahmas for sale and 2 other hens. Another roo on of a different colour which I found for sale I also fancy. Wil they fight

By a trio - do you mean 1 roo and 2 hens? So that you are going to have 6 birds all together, and 2 of them roos?

If so, yes, they will fight, maybe to death, and your hens are going to be ragged. It will not make for a peaceful flock.

If you mean that you are creating a new flock of 1 roo and 5 hens, there maybe a scuffle or two, but there should not be any fighting.

I have 3 regular sized roosters and 3 bantam roosters from my chicks this year. Two are Brahmas. They are pretty laid back boys. Actually the nicest of all my roosters. The silkie rooster is actually the biggest jerk of the bunch. He starts more fights and picks on more hens than the other boys put together. I have a Brown Leghorn and a Gold Spangled bantam that are best buds and have been since the first day. Really strange. They sleep together, the bantam with his head under the Brown Leghorn's wing on the roost and sit together outside. Both are pretty chill as well. Sure they give the hens a bit of guff but are usually minding their own business.

I added a new hen not too long ago and there was a bit of picking but she has buddied up with the quieter ladies in the flock and the bantam roo's and Brown Leghorn roo as well. I am not sure it would be so peaceful adding a new boy to the mix though.
