I have two light brahmas I hatched from a breeder. They both have a shorter outside toe. The rooster even has a small nail on that toe. I didn’t think anything of it until I hatched some eggs from the hen. The chick also has a shortened outside toe. Is this a genetic anomaly? The hatchery brahmas I have don’t have this.
Here’s some pictures of the hens feet and another hen I have for comparison. Her toe is hard to see with all of her feathers but it was the best I could do. I’ll try and get pictures of the chick later. It’s hard to catch let alone take pictures of.

I’ll have to check my silkies. I’m just starting to get some D’uccles. One of my silkies actually hatched some out. So I haven’t noticed it in those guys. Maybe I noticed it more because the Brahma is a LF compared to the bantams.
