Bran Spankin New to Raising Chickens

I just bought a pawhut large coop online last night. I have been wanting to do this for years. Thought about getting the chicks this Spring. I live in Jax, FL and it is to cold now so I thought I would read and studying up on it till Spring. I could use all useful information all of you can give me. Read a book "Raising Poultry",and have reading threads here.

The Learning Center has some great info on raising chicks, have a look there. Also if you look around the forum in each section you'll see blue "sticky" threads on top. Those are some excellent threads with very good information. I've learned lots by reading the stickies! Enjoy your chicken adventure and keep us posted!
