Brand new chick from incubator-what do i do now?

We have had eggs in an incubator, and one just hatched. It has been an hour or two, and it is fluffy, but I still have it in the bottom of the incubator. The temp is 99.5 degrees.
Should I take it out and put it in the cage with a heat lamp and food? Since there is only one, will it know to eat the food? I've always ordered them,or hatched them under a hen, this is the first time we've done this in the incubator.
Any help would be great!

I would leave it in there for awhile, it will be fine for a day in the incubator. When i hatch chicks via hen or incubator I don't do a thing, usually one chick figures out the water and feed and shows the others. It's pretty much natural instinct for them.

Awe some! Thanks for the speedy reply! I think I will leave it in there till tonight, my only concern is the air conditioning, do you think it will be ok in the house with a heat lamp? It's the only one so far...

It's fine to leave the chick in the bator for up to two days while the others are hatching out, especially if the other eggs have started their pips. You lose temp and humidity by opening the bator to pull chicks out while the hatch is going on.

Chicks live off the yolk sac they have absorbed before hatching out. That's why a hatchery can ship day olds, they don't need food or water for up to 3 days.
