I'm so happy to find this forum, I have SO many questions since this is the first time I've raised chickens. My grandmom had a few when we were kids but we weren't too interested in them back then.
I have 2 golden Wyandottes, a black Wyandotte and a buff Orpington. I researched for calm breeds that can withstand colder temps and be good "first chickens" since I'm clueless! We moved to a little ranchette 2 years ago and I've been thinking about getting chickens for a while just as a hobby.
Nice to be here and looking forward to learning from all of you. I design and sew pet clothing and sell online so I'm sure chicken diapers will be in my future. I also rescue Italian greyhounds which will not be allowed anywhere near the new kids!
