Good evening everyone! We have recently come unexpectedly into chickens :) We got 4 new baby araucanas, and they are precious. I've pulled together a brooder, and have about 3-4 weeks to come up with a coop setup outside for them, so i'll be scouring the website here frantically over the next several days/weeks to try to get on the right track. My girls named our little white one Lilly, so i put her pic in my avatar. isn't she adorable?! I can't wait to get going with them, but i have TONS of questions! :) Thanks to everyone in advance for the time you'll take answering my completely novice inquiries.

hope everyone's having a great night!

Hi and

- glad to have you onboard with us.

The Coop section and "Coops and Runs" forum is a great source of inspiration for your coop design. This link may also be helpful.

and this, for when the time comes to move your chicks to the coop.

My only bit of advice is to make the coop and run as large as possible, because nobody (here at least) is immune to chicken maths!

Lily is very pretty, it sounds like you are enjoying the chicks. Good luck with your coop build!
