Brand new - just got 12 Heritage - threatened and endangered chicks!

Hi, My husband and I are brand new to chicken raising.
Last week we got 4 Dorkings, 5 Mottled Java, 2 Light Sussex and 1 Delaware.
We sadly lost one of the Dorkings today.
We are reading everything we can about new chicks so we can be the best parents ever!

Hi!

When we first got our chicks we were told about how high Chick Mortality is. We built our brooder for really very little money and carefully managed the warmth in it (It was april) after that it was just food, water and love. I hope the rest of your babies make it to adult-hood and bring you much happiness!
