Hello everyone, New here. What a great place this is! So much information to absorb.

I hatched some chickens and pekin ducks a few years back and decided to add some more to the flock. I sold my old incubator a few years ago and last week I bought two of those little dome incubator. I have them plugged in and they are actually holding a steady temperature for the past few days at 100 degrees. (checked with two thermometers) I bought hatching eggs on ebay. It was supposed to come with 6 eggs but the lady gave me 4 extra! (How nice). Each of the dome incubators holds 3 eggs so I have four left over. It bothers me that I would have to throw them away and waste the possibility of hatching 4 more chicks.

I was reading on the forum and some have made a simple incubator with a bottle light and a styrofoam cooler. What are your thoughts? My main concern is a fire hazard with these...

Any comments are welcome Thank you all
  Thank you all
