Just got my 6 chicks this past weekend!
1 Barred Rock/ Tara
1 Ameraucana/ Sophie Anne
1 Buff Orpington/ Pam
2 Golden Sex Links/ Sookie and Arlene
1 Brown Leghorn/ Jessica
Any advice or tips for a 1st timer would be appreciated.
I am a chef and have always wanted a mini urban farm. Recently relocating from CA and buying a home here in Spokane WA is letting me be able to do that. I was originally planning for 3-4 chicks, but got a little excited and now... We have 6! I know the neighbors wont mind some eggs.
The chicks are on an organic starter grit at the moment and a pine shaving bed in a 40 gallon tub (with a inferred light) is there home for now.
