Brand new to chickens - should we rethink our coop/run design?

Yes, I'm also thinking we'll have to jack it up. We've done the wood chip dump too (for landscaping/mulching) but I was worried about the cedar factor. As you know there are many cedar trees around here (I'm in Portland) and there is no way to separate them out. Maybe its not an issue in a ventilated run?
