Bread and Corn

I'm sure we all try to feed our chickens the best.
And I am sure we all have read many different things on the net.

I wish there was a simplified easy list of the WHYs to feed everything.

I wish it too

However I believe that if sometimes we humans can eat junk food, so also chickens can do it

Mine get bread pieces, they like the fluffy part not the crusts like little kids haha, they are fine and healthy it helps I think in filing them up for a time so they can relax nap and preen also I hear it helps with egg laying if your girlsite are struggling they love especially fresh bread

Bread does not help with laying. And it really should not be a regular thing. I give maybe 2 or 3 pieces a week, for over 30 birds. Protein helps laying. And if young, they should be filling up on their feed.

I'm guessing you mean in your opinion? because in mine I think it does geez did I step into the fifties here? This whole BYC forum has been mostly negative and I've only done like ten posts welcome to BYC

Fact - bread is mostly empty calories for chickens.
Fact - Eggs are mostly protein.
Fact - Bread contains little to no protein.
Logical conclusion - Bread does not help produce eggs.

Eggs are a fantastic treat for any chicken. And no, it won't cause them to start eating freshly laid eggs.
