I had chickens 2 years ago and lost a flock, but I think my heart is healed enough to get more (and I'm sick of duck eggs, lol)

I have a flock of ducks now. I had ducks with my chickens before, so it should be ok?

I wanted 4 hens, but the person I'm getting them from doesn't sex them. So do I get 13?

Also any advice on keeping them with ducks, thank you.

I'm adding nesting boxes and scratcher boxes. My ducks sleep outside but I think at least over winter I'm going to force them inside for predator reasons.

I own 3 ducks with my chickens and they get along fine. The chickens just better get out of the way for them to eat but there is not pecking or biting each other. They sleep in the same house too. Really there is nothing to worry about keeping them together.

I have also had ducks and chickens together. The ducks spent most of their time on the pond so they didn't mingle much.

There is a way to sex chicks. In fact there are three that I know of.
Wing sexing
Vent sexing
Struggle sexing

Go to YouTube.com and look up chick sexing.
