Breaking boredom,whilst worming

Hi guys,

I have 4 hens confined to a run for about 6 hours, and 1-2 in the garden. (They get much longer in the summer months). But anyway I'm worming the chooks for about 1-2 weeks. So I can't feed them treats :'( so how can I break boredom?

I was told by a very experienced poultry keeper it saves their appetite for the pellets.

You can still give them stuff to scratch around in, leaves, grass clippings, even just a flake of straw will keep them busy for hours.
