Breed? anyone?

I'm not sure what she is... but she does lay white eggs, hatched some this week and the chicks do look identical.

I would say black sex-link (black star), but the fact that she lays white eggs is throwing me off.

Probably a mix.

Yeah, I would have guessed black sex link too, but they don't lay white eggs. Mutt?

To figure out the breed, a full body picture would be helpful. It would also be considerably helpful if we knew where she came from, considering some places carry certain breeds while others don't.

I personally say Black Star; I had a Black Star named Pigeon, and she laid almost white eggs. They were just barely a creamy brown color.

This one has me stumped...Looks like Black Sex Link in body color and comb but lays white eggs... But can't be a Leghorn or Med cross because there is no white in earlobes...And then you say the offspring are all uniform in appearance, indicating a pure breed...Maybe one of the very rare imported breeds or are you putting us on?...Either way good luck on this one. .

This hen may be a Black Bresse...A French type chicken that comes in several colors....But the comb appears to be small for Bresse...This would explain the uniformity of the offspring....If the legs are blue that clinches it...

Are the eggs white, like grocery store eggs? Or a pale cream color?
