Hello - I'm curious what your thoughts are on breed of this chick.
It came from a farm with a mix of chicken types. The other chicks are pretty assorted with yellow, yellow with black feathers coming in, yellow/gold ones, black ones, a couple red ones (that died unfortunately), and one of these gray little fellas. They are from different hens, but the same rooster I believe.

Any guesses on this gray one? He/she is about 8 days old in this photo. It may be hard to tell, but there is also some yellow mixed in with his gray and black.

Much too early to guess. When they have feathered out it may be easier, but often it's impossible to pinpoint exactly what breeds are in a crossbreed.

X2

It's also possible that the farm has crosses they're breeding. For example, a gold or black sexlink would be a great layer and a candidate for the female parent but already a mix of at least two breeds.

I'd just enjoy them for the barnyard mixes they are. You may be surprised by how they change.
