Breed Early?

I stopped this right away but what happens if ducks breed at 4 months? I separated my only male (I thought he was female) so what happens if they breed early? Just say they breed breed. What would happen to the duck hen?

They should be fine, aslong as it is duck to duck, and especially if they hen is older/larger.

Oh and 4 months is not that young for ducks to be breeding.

I don't think I'd worry about it. Reproductively ducks are very different than mammals for example where breeding too early can have major negative impacts on the animal.

breed? they can mate at that age but actually breeding (hatching the eggs) you should wait until 10-12 months so the babies are more likely to survive (unless a parent is crested then never breed)
