Breed? Gender? 6 weeks old

We thought this was a female Barred Cochin? She was very broody with the smaller younger chicks and seems to be very female. BUT, now she is making loud crowing noises similar to a ROO! WTH??? Is this a girl? Is this a Barred Cochin? Is she just finding her new voice? Help!!

That's a very red comb. Im pretty sure male. As for the breed I don't know.

Really???? This one is my favorite!!!

Now I have to find him a home I thought it was totally a girl, the way it nurtured the babies and loved to cuddle. This really sucks. Are you sure??!!!!

Roosters can be just as attentive to babies as hens...we just don't stop to think about it that way. Sorry you have to give him up, he would probably make a great roo for your flock.
