Breed/Gender Help!

I’m a new chick mom and looking to identify the gender and breed of one of our chicks. My daughter brought a chick home from school. We were hopeful our little Penguin would be a pullet, but she is looking more like a he/cockerel. Any info is greatly appreciated. She/he is 6-7 weeks old. Im thinking Black Orpington, but I'm not positive. (The other chick in the photo is a different breed and a 1.5 weeks younger.). Thanks in advance?

He might be a jersey giant his feet look white not yellow

He’s probably a black Australorp, then. Jersey giants have yellow foot pads and Australorps have white.

Unfortunately yes , males aren’t bad ( I actually love em ) but they’re hard to keep in neighborhoods, best fo luck with your little boy!
