hi, i have 5 little banty chicks and i know it may be too early to tell gender (guesses would be accepted at this point), but i was wondering if anyone would know breed or coloring they will be when older. i THINK i have a pretty good guess as to the color and breed, but idk for sure. they are roughly 2 or 3 weeks old. all have feathered feet except for Daytona

this is Daytona, i THNK it (s)he is an old english game, but idk gender or coloring:

This is Drifter, im thinking red cochin, but idk. i am pointing towards cockerel with this one because his/her comb is pinker than the others:

this is Lightning, i THINK (s)he is a white cochin, but idk gender:

this is Nitro, thinking (s)he is a red cochin, but idk:

this is Scuffs, thinking (s)he is also red cochin:

all of the breeds, colors, and genders i have said are just guesses. THANKS so much in advance!! :)

I think you are right. I'm not sure about the color on your OEGB, black breasted red maybe? I have 2 that look almost identical, so I'm curious as well. There is an OEGB thread in the Breeds, Genetics and Showing section.....

On your Cochins, I think they're all reds. That lighter one might be a buff, but it's for sure not white. The red Cochins I had in the past, were various shades of red/reddish buff instead of the lovely mahogany most hatcheries and feed stores show them to be. On the flip side, my buffs would sometimes have red patches, which is not desired. I have no idea on their genders, too early for me to tell! Good luck!
