breed? gender?

I say it's a girl. A comb would have been medium sized and hot pink at 7 weeks, that's how it was for my leghorn. It would have crowed by now too. I'm not good at naming the breed since I'm a newbie. Better at sexing.

Probably still too young to tell the gender, but it looks exactly like what my Easter Egger chickens looked like at 7 weeks! this is what mine looks like now. Though mine is nearly twice the age of yours, Easter Eggers have that type of crazy coloring.

I read that leghorns mature quickly so that's probably why. You're right! Every breed and chicken are different.

Haha. Yeah. I only have one Leghorn, but it's a pullet so I wouldn't know how early Leghorns crow. But it's taken my Black and Red Sex Links this long to crow. They're just a bunch of idiots anyways. Haha. I've seen Youtube videos of little 4-5 week old chicks crowing. That's nuts!

Wow! I have EE chicks just like the OP, and if this is what they'll look like, I'm psyched. So pretty!
