Breed help

Any ideas on breed of these two 4 month girls? They’re pretty friendly and more inquisitive than the others and larger too. They started out yellow w a few black spots but the older they get the black is taking over and the white feathers sort of disappear. I’ve searched online and I can’t seem to find another one the matches the color pattern, darker feet and size and it’s driving me nuts! My friend got them from tractor supply so I’m pretty sure they’re not anything exotic but she can’t remember what breed they were.

They're definitely mottled. From Tractor Supply I would naturally lean towards Ancona, but I'm not seeing the white earlobes (as far as I can tell) or the body type I would expect... I'm going to say Mottled Java, but keep watching the earlobes. Java are relatively uncommon from hatcheries however. Here's a few pictures of my Mottled Java vs an Ancona from the internet for comparison purposes if you're curious!

Speckled Sussex?

Speckled Sussex have mahogany mixed in, not just black and white. Speckled Sussex also have white skin, so white to pink feet

Ok yeah that java looks really close to mine. I checked their ears and no white. They're actually just kinda bald and weird looking still so I’ll have to see how their ears turn out as they grow. Thanks!!
