Hey there,

Looking for guidance in determining this (hopefully) girl's breed. Someone on another forum said she looked like a "meat bird" (uh... thanks, very helpful)... The first photo was take at about 2 1/2 weeks old. The second is at about 3 1/2 weeks old.

Much obliged.

Here she is from straight on. If she's a meat bird does that mean she'll grow very fast and have a short lifespan? We rescued her and the chick you see behind her from an idiot down the street giving them away for Easter. They had no fresh water, there were feces everywhere and he was feeding them pita bread....

She looks like a Cornish X, which are meant to be butchered at around 8 weeks old.
The one behind her looks like an Easter Egger.
Would she not be markedly larger than her cohort by now, given that she's (we're guessing) around 3 1/2 - 4 weeks old now?
