Breed help!

Hi all, this is emma and i have no clue what she is, she was left in a box at the animal rescue i work at and she's 3 days old. im not sure how old a chick has to be before you can ID it so i thought screw it doesn't hurt to try. Shes a wiggly little thing so these were the best pics i could get, any help is appreciated :)

She (?) could be anything at this point.
Yes she does! i speciffically put her in the cardbord box for the picture's she has a much nicer inside box with her lamp :)

There are many breeds possible. That chipmunk stripe pattern is very common in pure and mixed breeds. So it will take some time to tell breed.

The same is true of determining gender. Usually 6 weeks is a good time to start, but sometimes chicks will make it obvious with a large or colorful comb before that.

If you are in a hurry, you could snip off a feather once they grow in and send it to a lab for genetic sexing. This costs money but is worth it in some cases.
