OK, somebody was giving away these 4 chickens, & at the price of 'free' I couldn't say no. We have ducks, so I'm not familiar at all with chickens.

They are smaller, fellow said they're about 3 months old. They are all very heavily feathered on their legs/feet. The one with the comb definitely looks male, but I think (HOPE!) the other 3 are female. He looks the same as one of the females.

The grey one is the biggest of the four. Suggestions?

Here they are:

Let me know if I need better pictures. Do you like the headless one on the right in the last photo! They cooperate so much...
Thanks!

The little greyish-blue girl is a bantam Cochin. The little light tan girl is a Belgian d'Uccle (I think) as is the Mille Fleur girl with the lovely beard. The little Mille Fleur roo is also a Belgian d'Uccle, but as he doesn't have a beard, he might not be. They are all VERY pretty birds!

What lovely birds.

I'd agree with the two Belgian Mille Fleur D'Uccles pullet and rooster. Lovely birds.

The other two I'm not certain of but they are so nice looking.

Good luck.

The reddish speckled pair are Mille Fleur D'Uccles, hen and rooster. The other looks like a porcelain D'uccle hen. The Black one looks to be a Cochin, my guess is a rooster, bantam.

Nice birds. D'uccles are very good layers.

Thanks everyone.

BantamRooster, why do you think the darker grey one is a rooster rather than a hen? It's the one in the first and 4th pictures.

Is it that (s)he has more of the red on top of the head? But there are no tail feathers... I'm hoping it's a girl!

They are all very pretty, and very calm for chickens. But I think my ducks are (to quote Widowzilla) acting like 'terrorists'. No violence yet, but they seem to be restricting where the chickens can go.

Would larger-breed chickens be less intimidated?

Thanks
Tony
