Is there any kind of archived history on chicken breeds and their origins? Some species of birds that were imported into the U.S. and other countries ages ago have either died out or become extinct to our borders. I have been searching for information on Belgain Malines and have found little other than they are still rare and yet popular table fare in many eastern european countries such as Belgium where they originated from because of their meat qualities and weight. Any information would be helpful as these birds are nearing extinction and worth increasing their numbers thru SOP breeding once again. Any feedback would be helpful!
