Breed?? New to the Flock

We got two new girls (We think they are girls) to give poor Freckles some friends..... they sem to be getting along well right now, but we have no clue what breed/mix the two new girls are.. Here they are:

This is Shaquaria (long story on the name)

This is Fluffy (She doesn't sit still)...

Two More of Fluffy Buttons:

Fluffy Buttons (Fluffy for short) appears to have some feathers growing on her feet..

I was told they are probably around 6 months old.

Shaquaria is an pea combed something/ Barred-something cross. I have a hen whose sire was a BR rooster and mother an Ameraucana hen-she looks very much the same as your girl. They all look like crossbreeds.

Yes, Shaquaria has feathered feet. My daughters think it makes her look like she is wearing bell bottoms!

I think they are both around 6-7 months old.

I agree with speckledhen, they both look like mixed breeds to me. That is why I asked where did you get them from. .. .

Shaquaria might be mixed with a cochin, maran, or a few other breeds that have feathered feet.


The second bird has coloring of an EE, but there are no muffs or tufts or beards . . . . The early red and still a hen reminds me of a comet. It will be interesting to find out what color egg she ends up laying . . .

We got them from Heather's swap meet where she told me she got the eggs from another swap meet..... who knows??

We'll see. She said she thinks they are about 5-6 months old.... hopefully they will be laying soon
