Breed of Roo?

Little bantam cockerel I got about 4 months ago. What breed? Millie Fleur?

The combs wrong for a d'anver. I think d'uccle.

I say a d'Uccle... I have d'Anvers and its definatly not one of those. And it looks to small to be a fav bantam

It is a d'uccle, but it is not Mille Fleur in color, It may have had a MF parent, because it is not a recognized color.


This is a mille fleur, almost every feather is tipped in black then white.

My 'Mille'. Could hatchery quality attribute to the lack of colouring? Mine is no where near as colourful as the ones FarmerChef posted.

At 4 months I would say that he will get some spots when he gets a bit older??? My D'Uccle chicks have few if any spots at that age.

yes, hatcheries don't breed to standard, so you can get all sorts of different color patterns, skin/leg comb, wrong comb, etc. They are most commonly "famous" for Easter Eggers being sold as Americana(Ameraucana) or Araucanas, as well as rose comb birds with single combs.
