I figured I'd just throw this out there and ask since everything just kept coming up "Silkie" and I know its not, it really looks nothing like the one I have. Anyways. We ended up picking up a couple chicks yesterday at a feedstore. I haven't gotten around to taking a picture yet- but they have greyish/blue fuzz, grey/blue skin and beak, 4 toes, what appears to be a single comb, feathered legs, and beards. I'm thinking Blue D'uccles? I will post pics later.

If it has "Fuzzy" feathers I wouldn't think it is a D'uccles.

I'm think it might be a Frizzled Cochin..

black skin, hmmmm. it may just be a cross, but a self blue d'uccle that's bad for it's breed is possible.....

here's a pic of an adult self blue d'uccle (it's the one in the middle) i don't know if it will help much.....

I got some pics! They're less than a week old. I asked which hatchery they came from, and her answer was Mexico? I think she may have been misinformed... but either way, they COULD be mixes I suppose, but do feed stores sell mixed breeds? Either way, they're cute- and balls of energry!

The two of them have the funniest personalities! They're super feisty, and they stand straight up and peep loudly if you disturb them too much, as seen in the first photo! I actually saw one of them jump kick at one of the bigger chicks yesterday!

Jealous! I am kinda a D'Uccle lover and I looked for a few different shipments to try and find a blue/lavender. Beautiful chickens, sweet personalities. We have one now that follows us around and comes when she is called. They become really friendly when offered hand treats

We have 6 new ones at a month old, a 3 week porcleian and hopefully a hen sitting on a few more
