So three months ago I purchased two Ancona female chicks and raised them along with my chicks and are no all living in with my chickens (separate house, same run).
Last week I "rescued" (that's how I get things past my wife) two call drakes from a guy I work with as he didn't have enough space for his growing flock. He says they are two month old. I introduced them all together and they are doing very well. The calls follow the Anconas around and nobody seams to mess with each other.
Now here come my questions. Should I be concerned with the size difference of the Calls and the Anconas the calls will get trampled often. I haven't seen it at all, they are quick and seem to hold their own, but was concerned.
Second, since the drakes are significantly smaller than the ducks will they be able to mate.
And on that, with the duck/drake ratio at 1:1 is there a concern there.
