I have a disabled 3 month old standard polish pullet that I can't integrate into the main flock. I would like to get her a companion but can't decide on breed.

I'm considering faverolle, silkie, and Cochin but am willing to consider any breed that is especially calm and docile. Help me pick one! Thank you!

I've heard that silkies are really sweet and since they are pretty small, they may not beat up your Polish much.

You've hit the top three I would advise. Too bad you're not closer, I've got a bantam cochin hen who is just not fitting in since I re-arranged my pens who would probably be perfect. Maybe I could talk the Honey into a road trip north?

Bummer! I haven't been able to find any of these breeds or even a mix from them locally. I'm looking into either hatching sone eggs or getting chicks. Thanks! I hope you can find a good place for your Cochin.

Do you have experience with all three if these breeds? I Haven't had any of them- is there one you would think is the top contender?

Probably the silkie, then the cochin, then the Faverolles. Although the Faverolles hen I have now is so incredibly docile, I honestly think she's not quite right.

Thank you! I wasn't able to find one locally so ended up ordering some chicks. I got a handful of straight run bantam Cochins and one faverolle just in case I don't get a hen Cochin. I really want a silkie but decided against them for now because I live in a very wet climate.
