Can anyone tell me the breeds of chicks we have.
Does anyone know the odds of getting roosters when you get 6 chicks?

If they are straight run its just as likely any will be male as any will be female. 3 could be make and 3 female, or all male and all female or any variation. If they're supposed to be pullets you have a much higher likely hood of them all being female but you could still get a male or more than one... You can post individual descriptions and photos and I'm sure the folks here will be happy to look at what you've got and try and help you determine what you've got there. Looks like a nice variety. Where did you get them?

The black ones look like my australorp chicks.

We got them at Tractor Supply. They are straight run.

The red ones are probably Red Cochins. The yellow one could be a White Leghorn, White Rock, or a couple of other breeds. If the black ones don't have feathered legs, then they're probably Black Australorps. Otherwise, they'd be Black Cochins.

Do the black ones have feathered legs? If so, they may be Black Cochins. If not, they are possibly Australorps. The two reddish chicks look like Red Cochins. I can' see the yellowish one well enough in the photos to guess.

2 of the black ones have fuzzy legs, one doesn't.
